No doubt, I got “the camera bug” from my Dad. Growing up, he was the family filmmaker. Toting around his trusty 8mm movie camera, he captured all the important moments in our family’s history. I guess its safe to say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. In this regard, a passion for capturing life’s memories through movies just became a part me. Over the past 5 years, I’ve worked with so many great couples and witnessed the celebration of marriage in many ways (Christian, Hebrew, Native American, Hindu, Filipinos, Assamese, civil ceremonies and others). I have come to believe that what sets each wedding apart is not so much the cultural differences, but the uniqueness of each couple. The stories of how these partners-to-be found each other, how their relationship grew and their dreams for the future are all one-of-a-kind. When filming a wedding, my goal is to capture all the important events of the day and never miss those less obvious, subtle and meaningful moments that all work together to tell the story. Every wedding for me is an opportunity to tell a brand new story. Will the next one be yours? Art Varga |
